nature, history and adventure
Shamakhi offers a great mix of nature, history, and culture. The Shamakhi Khanate’s ancient sites, like the Yeddi Gumbez mausoleum, were both educational and awe-inspiring. The peaceful atmosphere around Silent Lake was a perfect escape from city life, and skiing in Pirkuli was a fun adventure I didn’t expect!

Rich history and scenic escapes
Shamakhi is an enchanting destination that blends historical sites with scenic landscapes. The trip to the Astrophysical Observatory was fascinating, and the view of the snowy hills in Pirkuli was a pleasant surprise. perfect mix of culture and nature
I had a wonderful time exploring Shamakhi and its surroundings. The Juma Mosque was a perfect starting point, with its fascinating history dating back to the 8th century. History, Mystery, and Scenic Views
Shamakhi’s history is fascinating, and the tour was an excellent way to explore it. The shirvanshah palace was an architectural gem, and the ancient tombs in the yeddi gumbez mausoleum were incredibly intriguing. I also appreciated the opportunity to try skiing in Pirkuli, an unexpected but fun part of the trip.))

a fascinating gourney through Time...
My visit to Shamakhi was an unforgettable experience. The Juma Mosque, one of the oldest in Azerbaijan, was truly a highlight of the trip. I also enjoyed the peaceful Sakit Gol (Silent Lake) and the scenic views from Pirkuli. Shamakhi offers a unique mix of culture, history, and nature that should not be missed. John Miller 26.09.2023
